A Complex Engineering Puzzle
The main challenge was to engineer powerful and effective MEP systems that did not compromise the store's high-end aesthetic. The client mandated that all visible components, such as air diffusers, smoke detectors, and sprinklers, must be minimalist and perfectly integrated with the architectural design, all while providing even cooling and complete fire code compliance for a large, open-plan space.
Innovative & Efficient
We deployed a high-efficiency Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system, which allowed for flexible zoning and quiet operation. To meet the aesthetic demands, we utilized slim, concealed ducted units connected to custom-painted linear slot diffusers that blend into the ceiling's design accents. The fire safety solution consisted of an addressable fire alarm system with low-profile smoke detectors and concealed pendant sprinklers that remain flush with the ceiling until activated, rendering them virtually invisible.
