A Complex Engineering Puzzle
This project presented a complex set of diverse environmental requirements under one roof. We needed to provide massive volumes of fresh, cool air for the cardio and weightlifting floors; manage high humidity in the yoga studios and indoor pool area; and engineer a high-capacity plumbing system for hundreds of daily users across luxury locker rooms, showers, and spa facilities, all while focusing on energy efficiency and hygiene.
Innovative & Efficient
We implemented a zoned HVAC system using dedicated Air Handling Units (AHUs) for different areas, each tailored to specific needs. The main gym floor received a high-volume system with 100% fresh air capability, while the yoga studio featured humidity control. For plumbing, we designed a high-capacity hot water generation and recirculation system to ensure instant hot water at all fixtures, along with a robust drainage and ventilation system for the locker rooms to maintain a hygienic environment. A central Building Management System (BMS) was installed to control and optimize all these disparate systems.
