A Complex Engineering Puzzle
The bank's main corporate building was served by an aging central HVAC system that operated at a single capacity, leading to significant energy waste during off-peak hours and inconsistent temperatures across its many diverse spaces—from high-occupancy trading floors to executive offices. The key challenge was to implement a modern, granular system within a high-security, live banking environment without any disruption to critical operations.

Our team designed and deployed a state-of-the-art Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system across the entire tower. This technology allows for the creation of numerous independent climate zones, enabling precise temperature control for individual floors, departments, or even specific rooms. The system intelligently modulates refrigerant flow based on the real-time thermal load of each zone, ensuring optimal energy use. The entire network was integrated into a central Building Management System (BMS), giving the facilities team unprecedented control and insight into the building's energy performance.
