A Complex Engineering Puzzle
The primary challenge was designing a fire protection system for a high-rise structure that met the stringent requirements of the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) and Civil Defense, including dedicated fire water storage and multi-zone pressurization. For the plumbing, the challenge was to engineer a system that could consistently deliver high water pressure to the upper floors and manage the high-volume drainage and waste from over 150 residential apartments and ground-floor commercial shops without risk of failure.
Innovative & Efficient
Our team engineered and installed a comprehensive fire safety system, including dedicated fire pumps, a wet riser for firefighting on all floors, and an automated sprinkler and smoke detection network. For the plumbing, we designed a hydro-pneumatic booster system to ensure adequate water pressure at all levels. A separate, large-diameter uPVC drainage and vent stack system was installed to handle the high load, preventing backflow and ensuring efficient, hygienic waste disposal for the entire tower.
