A Complex Engineering Puzzle
The main challenge was to design powerful and code-compliant MEP systems that did not compromise the store's sophisticated, design-forward aesthetic. The client required that all visible elements—air vents, smoke detectors, and sprinklers—be minimalist and seamlessly integrated, providing even, draft-free cooling and comprehensive fire protection without visually cluttering the space.
Innovative & Efficient
We deployed a high-efficiency, concealed ducted VRF system, chosen for its silent operation and flexibility. This was paired with custom-painted, minimalist linear slot diffusers that integrate perfectly with the ceiling design. For fire safety, we installed an addressable fire alarm system using low-profile, aesthetically pleasing smoke detectors. The fire suppression system features concealed pendant sprinklers that sit flush with the ceiling, becoming visible only upon activation, thus preserving the clean, uncluttered visual experience of the store.
