The Challenge

A Complex Engineering Puzzle

The scale and mixed-use nature of Emporium Mall, particularly the massive food court with over 40 kitchens, presented a significant MEP challenge. This area required an enormous ventilation capacity and a specialized fire suppression system, distinct from the rest of the mall, to manage heat, grease, and heightened fire risk.

Our Solution

Innovative & Efficient

We installed a high-capacity, energy-efficient chiller plant for the main mall. For the food court, we designed a dedicated ventilation system with specialized kitchen exhaust hoods and ecology units to scrub the air. The fire safety solution included a dedicated wet chemical fire suppression system for each kitchen, fully integrated with the mall's overall addressable fire alarm and sprinkler network.
