A Complex Engineering Puzzle
The primary challenge was fitting the extensive MEP systems required for a luxury mall into a relatively compact, vertical building footprint without compromising on ceiling height or aesthetics. The HVAC system had to be silent and invisible, and the fire safety system needed to be comprehensive yet discreet.
Innovative & Efficient
We utilized a space-saving VRF system for HVAC, which offers excellent zonal control and requires less ductwork than traditional systems. This allowed for maximum ceiling height. For fire safety, we used concealed sprinkler heads that sit flush with the ceiling, and integrated the fire alarm speakers and strobes into the interior design, ensuring safety without visual clutter.
