A Complex Engineering Puzzle
The primary challenge was the immense scale and complexity of the project. The HVAC system required absolute reliability and precise climate control for the central control rooms, where any failure could lead to a plant-wide shutdown. The fire safety system had to address diverse, high-risk hazards, from coal dust and turbine halls to sensitive electronic switchgear rooms, requiring multiple specialized suppression technologies.
Innovative & Efficient
We engineered a fully redundant, N+1 configuration for the control room HVAC using precision air conditioning (PAC) units. For fire safety, we deployed a multi-faceted strategy: a plant-wide hydrant and sprinkler system, advanced clean agent gas suppression (Novec 1230) for the control and server rooms, and a high-expansion foam system for the transformer bays. The entire network was integrated into a central, intelligent fire alarm and monitoring system.
Key Project Outcomes
Achieved 100% compliance with international power plant safety standards (NFPA).
Guaranteed 99.99% uptime for the plant's central control room through redundant HVAC design.
Safeguarded a multi-billion dollar asset with a state-of-the-art, multi-zone fire detection and suppression system.
Completed the complex installation with zero safety incidents, integrated within the master construction timeline.

“A power plant is one of the most demanding environments for MEP systems. Their team demonstrated exceptional technical expertise and a deep understanding of industrial safety protocols. They delivered a world-class HVAC and fire safety solution that is critical to the safe and continuous operation of our facility.”
