A Complex Engineering Puzzle
The primary challenge was to replace an aging, inefficient chiller-based HVAC system, which was resulting in excessive energy expenditure and inconsistent cooling across the high-rise building. The entire project had to be executed in a live, 24/7 operational banking headquarters without causing any disruption to daily operations or compromising the stringent cooling requirements of their Tier-III data center.
Innovative & Efficient
Our solution involved a phased replacement of the old system with a high-efficiency, water-cooled magnetic bearing (Maglev) chiller plant, significantly reducing the building's PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness). The entire system was integrated into a sophisticated Building Automation System (BAS) for real-time monitoring and load optimization. For the critical data center, we deployed a dedicated, N+1 redundant CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) unit system to ensure uninterrupted, precision cooling and humidity control, completely independent of the main building's comfort cooling system.
