A Complex Engineering Puzzle
The main challenge was to provide effective and economical climate control for a very large retail footprint (over 15,000 sq. ft.) with high ceilings and a massive inventory of shoes and apparel. The fire safety system had to provide comprehensive coverage for both customer-facing areas and dense back-of-house stockrooms, which represent a significant fire load.
Innovative & Efficient
We deployed a series of high-capacity, energy-efficient rooftop packaged AC units, which are ideal for conditioning large, open-plan spaces and are known for their reliability and low maintenance requirements. For fire safety, we installed a comprehensive, zoned fire alarm system with beam detectors for the high-ceiling retail floors and heat detectors for the stockrooms. A complete wet-pipe sprinkler system was installed throughout, ensuring full coverage for both patrons and inventory.
